The Firm

Challenor Gardiner was first established as a firm of solicitors in Oxford in 1851. Its offices have moved a few times since then and our people have changed too, but we still aim to provide you with the same professional and  friendly service.  We now have modern offices at New Inn Hall Street.

Our client base comes from private individuals, local businesses and the University.

Our People

Nick Bingham – Principal who qualified with the firm in 1985 and has many years experience in family law and litigation. He is a member of Resolution.

Chris Dewhurst - His main practice areas are in commercial property, residential conveyancing and wills.  Chris began his legal career in 1995.

Richard Hodby - Richard qualified as a solicitor in 2001 and deals with residential and commercial conveyancing as well as the preparation of wills and "powers of attourney".

Alison Page – Qualified with us as a Legal Executive and covers all areas of family law and is a Resolution Accredited Specialist in Family Law and a member of The Law Society Family Law Panel.

Lyn Tomlins - Our Probate manager. She came to us after many years experience in the probate department of a major high street bank.

Nick Gardiner –Our former senior partner and now a Consultant with the firm.  He is also the H M Coroner for Oxfordshire.

Brian Heath – was the senior partner before Nick and is a Consultant with the firm
